The oral doctoral examination of Madeline Olley, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Tuesday, May 12, at 10 a.m. via Zoom. Olley’s advisor is Professor Dorri Beam. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Patricia Roylance, and Scott Stevens. Professor Sascha Scott will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Marble Bodies: Sculpture, Race, Gender, and Nineteenth-Century U.S. Literature.”
