The oral doctoral examination of Rachel Carpenter, candidate for the Ph.D. degree, will be held on Wednesday, May 6, at 3 p.m. in the Hall of Languages, room 504 and via Zoom. Carpenter’s advisor is Professor William Robert. The dissertation examining committee will be composed of Professors Ken Frieden and Biko Mandela Gray. Professor Joseph Wilson will serve as chair of the defense. The title of the candidate's dissertation is: “Knowing and Being Known: Monstrosity and Relationality in Mary Shelley's Frankenstein.”
